Madeleine turned 8 months old on Friday! She is growing and changing so quickly. On Friday during her music class she made a few strides forward in crawling (she has been lunging and acting like she was going to crawl for well over a month). That afternoon she did it again while Skyping with Granny and she is getting better and better at it.
She loves to roll, crawl, and sit up. M can wave and we're working on clapping and hi-fives! Like her Mama she loves animals and squeals and "talks" to the cats and Oliver when they come into the room. Her favorite thing to go after is Oliver's leash. Her babbles have gone to Da da, from Ba ba in the last week and today I heard a Ya ya sound. When she gets excited she opens and closes her mouth like she is talking but nothing comes out.....it's adorable! She loves to jump on your lap or in her door jumper and she wiggles so much it's hard to hold her and talk to her or have her on your lap. She eats 1-2 oz of solids 2x a day and she loves puffs and her sippy cup. Some foods she hated at first aren't too bad now, like carrots and peas.
M is nursing every 4 hours and goes to bed around 7-7:30 and will usually sleep 9 hours until 4 am when she nurses for less than 10 min and goes right back to sleep until 8-9. I love that she lets me sleep in! We try to get out of the house almost every day and she seems to like being out and about.
