On Thursday we packed up and headed 5 hours to Asheville for the Sappenfield family reunion. We found a great park halfway that was the perfect spot to get out and play for a bit. It was really cool realization that this was the first of many family vacations.
We made it to NC and for the most part the kids were great. Charlie was fighting sleep so I spent a lot of the trip in the backseat wedged between two car seats. I both love and hate his pacifier.
We headed to Greenville, SC on Friday morning to go to the zoo where my cousin, Jenn is a zoo keeper.
We all enjoyed seeing all the animals and there is nothing better than walking around a zoo with a zoo keeper!
I loved seeing the tortoises. We got to go in the cage and he rose right up like a dog and liked to have his neck scratched!
Every ones favorite part was feeding the giraffes. It really was a once in a lifetime experience. It is amazing how beautiful and majestic they are!
One of Jenn's animals the coati. She jingled her keys and he perked right up. Very cute!
Charlie and Maddie both love their cousin Jenn!
Zoos are exhausting! :)
