9 Months Old

Madeleine turned 9 months old a few weeks ago. I have been trying to get good pictures but this little girl is on the move! She pulls up on everything and is a very fast crawler. On Monday Maddie said Mama for the first time and now when she wants milk (we are doing the sign for it and asking her if she wants milk) she makes an Mmmmm sound. Not sure if it is for Mama or milk but either way it's exciting!

She loves Oliver so much that it is fun to watch her squeal at him and laugh. M likes to sit at the sliding glass doors when he is on the deck and "talk/squeal" to him. Maddie is eating 3 solid meals a day and is getting better and better at table food. We are still working on the pincher grasp and on getting her more interested in solids. I am nursing her every 4-5 hours and she usually takes 2 good (1.5-2 hour) naps a day. We have a variety of things we like doing including: library story time, play group once or twice a week, and music class. I have made friends with another mom and that has a little girl 1 week older than Maddie so we hang out with them a lot too.

Madeleine goes to bed at 7 and usually wakes up at 4am to eat and then sleeps until 7:30-8. She can clap, wave, tell us she doesn't like something (mmmmmhhhh sound while waving her hands in front of her face), drink from a sippy, raise her arms up to "So Big", and suck on her toes.

Madeleine is a busy bee and I know it will be interesting when she decides to walk! It's amazing how quickly she is growing and changing and becoming her own little person. She is such a happy baby, always quick with a smile and she loves to laugh when she hears anyone in the room laughing. We love you so much, Maddie!
