1 Month Appointment

On Monday, June 11th Maddie, mom, and I headed to her 1 month pediatric appointment. Maddie was so great until the very end when she was tired and started to get fussy. We met with Dr. Knights our chosen pediatrician for the first time (last time we had to see her associate Dr. Wallace).

Here are her stats at 1 month old:

9 lbs 7 oz (75th % for weight)

21 inches (50th % for length)

Her head is 14.5 (50th % for circumference)

The doctor is happy with her weight gain and gave us some pointers on working towards sleeping through the night. She did say that if she is getting 4-5 hour stretches that she is doing really well....we just wish those stretches were every night.

Dr. Knights was impressed that she is already following us with her eyes (something she wants babies to be doing at 4 months), holding her head up, and smiling and making eye contact. In the last week she has started recognizing Jacob and I and smiling. Wow.....it is amazing! :)

Maddie goes back in a month for several shots, which neither one of us is looking forward to.
